Asian full lines or whole lines are betting lines that fall exactly between two traditional half-line markets.

Traditional half-line markets (such as Over 2.5 and Over 3.5) have only two possible outcomes: a win or a loss. Full lines (such as Over 3.0) can also result in a push (refund).

For example, an O3.0 Goals bet wins if there are 4 or more goals, pushes if there are exactly 3, and loses if there are 2 or fewer.

Asian quarter lines are betting lines that allow bettors to split a stake in half between a half line and a full line market. This means they can result in a half win or half loss.

For example, an Over 2.75 bet splits the stake equally between Over 2.5 and Over 3.0. If there are exactly 3 goals, the O2.5 half wins while the O3.0 half is refunded, resulting in a half win.

Similarly, an O3.25 Goals bet splits the stake between O3.0 and O3.5. If there are exactly 3 goals, the O3.5 half loses while the O3.0 half is refunded, resulting in a half loss.

Some bookmakers and betting sites display quarter lines as the two half lines that make up the split. For example, 0, 0.5 represents a +0.25 quarter line, while -1.0, -1.5 represents a -1.25 quarter line.

The two prices represent the two parts of the quarter-line bet, with the stake split between them.

Our converter works with the individual half-line odds and calculates the equivalent synthetic quarter-line price.

A quarter line is created by splitting the stake 50/50 between the corresponding half line and full line. For example, O2.75 splits the stake equally between O2.5 and O3.0.

If, however, the only available markets are the half lines (such as O2.5 and O3.5), the stake required to recreate the quarter line will not be equal.

If a bookmaker does not offer the market you want, you can use the available Over/Under markets to recreate an equivalent synthetic market.

Let's use an example where the following Decimal odds are offered for the standalone Over markets:

• Over 2.5 Goals: 2.25
• Over 3.5 Goals: 5.00

If you stake £20.00 on O2.5 and £25.00 on O3.5, your total stake is £45.00. In the case of exactly 3 goals, you will receive £45.00 back, while 4 goals or more will return £170.00 (£45.00+£125.00). You have effectively recreated a synthetic O3.0 market at approximately 3.78 odds (£170.00/£45.00).

Similarly, if you stake £32.50 on O2.5 and £12.50 on O3.5, your total stake is £45.00. In the case of exactly 3 goals, the O2.5 bet wins and the O3.5 bet loses, giving a return of £73.13 (£32.50×2.25). If there are 4 or more goals, both bets win, giving a return of £135.63 (£32.50×2.25+£12.50×5.00). You have effectively recreated a synthetic O2.75 market at approximately 3.01 odds (£135.63/£45.00).

This can be validated by viewing O2.75 as an equal split between O2.5 and O3.0. Using the synthetic O3.0 price of 3.78 calculated above, a £45.00 O2.75 position would consist of £22.50 on O2.5 and £22.50 on O3.0. In the case of exactly 3 goals, the return would be £73.13 (£22.50×2.25+£22.50). With 4 goals or more, the return would be approximately £135.68 (£22.50×2.25+£22.50×3.78), giving approximately 3.02 odds (£135.68/£45.00). The small difference from the 3.01 price above is due to rounding.

A simple average does not correctly represent the price of a synthetic quarter line or full line.

For example, combining O2.5 at 2.25 and O3.5 at 5.00 does not mean that O3.0 should simply be priced at the average of 2.25 and 5.00.

First, select the Mid Line around which you want to calculate and enter the Side (Over/Under) and the respective half-line odds. Then select the market you want to recreate and enter the total stake you want to allocate to that market.

The converter will show the required stake split across the half-line markets. The split is calculated so that the combined bets replicate the payout characteristics of the selected market.

For example, a synthetic O3.0 market uses stakes on O2.5 and O3.5 markets, while a synthetic U4.25 market uses stakes on U3.5 and U4.5 markets.

The same principles apply to Under markets. A full line can result in a push (refund), while a quarter line can result in a half win or half loss because the stake is split between a half line and a full line.

For example, an U3.0 Goals bet wins if there are 0, 1 or 2 goals, pushes if there are exactly 3, and loses if there are 4 or more.

An U3.25 Goals bet effectively splits the stake between U3.0 and U3.5. If there are exactly 3 goals, the U3.0 half is refunded while the U3.5 half wins, resulting in a half win. If there are 4 or more goals, both halves lose.

Yes. Asian betting lines are used across a range of markets, including goals, corners and cards.

Some are Asian Total markets, such as Over 6.0 Corners or Under 3.75 Cards, where the line applies to the total number of goals, corners or cards.

Others are Asian Handicap markets, where a handicap is applied to one team or side. For example, in a Most Corners market, Away -1.0 means the Away team starts with a one-corner disadvantage relative to Home.

Quarter lines and full lines can occur in both types of market, with stake splitting, pushes, half wins and half losses determined by the relevant handicap or total line.

In an Asian Handicap market, a handicap is applied to one team or side before the result is settled.

For example, if Away is -1.0 in a Most Corners market, Away must record at least two more corners than Home for the bet to win. If Away records exactly one more corner, the bet is a push and the stake is refunded.

Quarter handicaps split the stake between two adjacent handicap lines. For example, Away -0.75 splits the stake between Away -0.5 and Away -1.0, so a one-corner Away win produces a half win.

The same principle can apply to other handicap markets, including those based on goals or cards.

The current converter is designed for Over/Under markets, but the underlying principle also applies to Asian Handicap markets when two surrounding half-lines are available.

For example, in a Most Cards market, suppose you want to recreate Away -0.75, -1.0 and -1.25 lines.

Select the appropriate side and use -1.0 as the Mid Line, then enter the available odds for Away -0.5 and Away -1.5. The converter will calculate the synthetic prices for the quarter and full lines, along with the stake split required to recreate the selected line.
